Floppy and Boot Floppy Drives Floppy-Drive Adapter: Choose Built-In for floppy controller on system board, Add-In for controller plugged into bus slot, or Auto for auto detection. Floppy Disk 1: Choose None, 360 KB, 720 KB, 1.2 MB, 1.44 MB or 2.88 MB. This defines the drive attached to the end of the floppy cable. Floppy Disk 2: Choose None, 360 KB, 720 KB, 1.2 MB, 1.44 MB or 2.88 MB. This defines the drive attached to the middle of the floppy cable. Logical Drive A/B: Choose Floppy Disk 1/2 to assign Drive One as the A: Drive, or Floppy Disk 2/1 to assign Drive Two as the A: Drive. Boot Options Keyboard Error: Choose Ignore or Report as Error. Num Lock: Choose On at Boot or Off at Boot. Boot Device: Choose Try Hard Drive First or Try Floppy First. POST Testing: Choose Normal or In-Depth. Power Conservation Hard Disk Timeout (0-16): Enter a number from 0 to 16. 0 disables the timeout. If another number is entered, the hard drive will spin down after that number of minutes of inactivity. Exit to Main Menu Primary Hard Drives Hard-Disk Adapter: Choose Built-In for Primary IDE interface on system board, Add-In to disable system board Primary IDE interface, or Auto for auto-detection. Video Memory Size: Displays amount of Video RAM installed; for reference only. Memory Total Memory Size: Displays amount of memory installed, in MB; for reference only. Cache Memory Size: Displays amount of external cache memory installed; for reference only Exit to Main Menu Ports Parallel Address: Choose Auto, 3BC-IRQ7, 378h-IRQ7, 278h-IRQ7, 3BC-IRQ5, 378h-IRQ5, 278h-IRQ5, or Disable. Parallel Port Type: Choose Standard, Enhanced, ECP DMA Channel 0, ECP DMA Channel 1, or ECP DMA Channel 3, Serial Port 1: Choose Auto, Disabled, 3F8h, or 3E8h. Serial Port 2: Choose Auto, Disabled, 2F8h, or 2E8h. Built-In Mouse Port: Choose Enable or Disable, Exit to Main Menu * Enhanced Communication Port (ECP) requires support from the parallel device as well as the parallel port. There is no advantage to configuring for ECP unless the parallel device supports it. User Security User Password: Choose None, Boot, or Server. If this field reads Disabled, the password override is enabled on the System Board. Video Blanking: Choose Blank in Security Mode or Disable. When enabled, the screen blanks when keyboard is Password Locked. Walk 'n' Lock Duration: Choose a number from 0 to 30. 0 disables the feature. Any other number sets the number of inactive minutes that will Password Lock the keyboard. Exit to Main Menu Admin Security Password Admin Password: Choose Enable or Disable. When enabled, the fields below take effect. If this field reads Disabled, the password override is enabled on the System Board. Security Protection Setup Privilege: Choose User and Admin or Admin Only. When set to Admin Only, a user must know the Admin Password to have access to any configurable Setup Fields. BIOS Update Privilege: Choose User and Admin or Admin Only. When set to Admin Only, a user must know the Admin Password to have access to the Update BIOS Menu in Setup. Change User Password: Choose User and Admin or Admin Only. When set to Admin Only, a user must know the Admin Password to change the User Password. Minimum Password Size: Choose a number from 0 to 8. Defines the minimum number of characters required for a valid User Password. Read-Only ISA Conf: Choose Read-Write or Read-Only. When set to Read-Only, a user may view CMOS Setup configuration fields, but not change them. Read-Only Floppy Drive: Choose Read-Write or Read-Only. When set to Read-Only, a user cannot write data to the floppy drives. A "Write Protect Error" occurs if attempted. Read-Only I/O Port: Choose Read-Write or Read-Only. When set to Read-Only, third-party utility programs are prevented from changing the configuration of the integrated I/O ports. Boot Options Prompt for Setup: Choose Display or Suppress. If suppressed, there is no on-screen prompt during boot on how to run Setup. Exit to Main Menu System Information BIOS: Displays revision of the installed BIOS; for reference only. Keyboard Controller: Displays revision of the installed Keyboard Controller; for reference only. BIOS Loader: Displays revision of the installed BIOS Loader; for reference only. System Serial Number: Displays the Serial Number entered at the factory; can be edited with utility program, but not in Setup. Asset Tag: Displays identification if entered by user; can be edited with utility program, but not in Setup. Exit to Main Menu Update BIOS Save Changes, Exit, and Update BIOS: Saves any changes made in Setup, and begins the update procedure. Follow the instruction on the screen. Exit Without Saving Changes, and Update BIOS: Ignores any changes made in Setup, and begins the update procedure. Follow the instruction on the screen.
