TITLE:  Advantage! 7000/9000 Colorado Backup
 
 
ISSUE 
 
   When attempting to operate a Colorado Trakker 250 on the parallel 
   port in DOS mode, the Colorado Backup software reports the 
   following error message:
   
      Error 194: Unable to detect tape controller at given 
      I/O address.
   
   This issue affects the following systems: 503079, 503080, 503082, 
   503083, 503084, 503086, 503087, 503152, 503116, and 503118.

ACTION 
 
   Set the parallel port mode in the BIOS Setup to ECP.    

 
NOTES 
 
   When using the EPP setting, the system works properly with the 
   Colorado Trakker 350 and Colorado T1000e external parallel port 
   tape drives. 
   
   This workaround was verified with version 4.70 of the Colorado 
   Backup DOS software.
