TITLE:  Ascentia J, Ascentia P, and AOL 3.0
 
 
ISSUE 
 
   After upgrading the America OnLine software to version 3.0 under 
   Windows 3.1X, a PC Card modem may intermittently disconnect after 
   a few seconds of operation. The software may then produce an 
   error referencing the SUPERSUB.DLL file in the AOL directory. 
   
   This issue affects all Ascentia P or J mobile systems.

ACTION 
 
   Contact AST Product Support at 1-800-727-1278 and request the 
   latest Cardwizard software, version 4.11.04. Mention internal 
   document # 0119TA.TXT.
            
   After installing the Cardwizard software, make the following 
   modification to file CS.EXE:
            
   1. Run CONFIG /ALL from Cardwizard directory (or from
      wherever the CONFIG.EXE program was installed). 
            
   2. Select UTILITY/BINARY ADAPTATION. Press the [Alt+O] 
      keys to open Binary Adaptation. 
            
   3. Highlight CS.EXE and press the [Enter] key.  
            
   4. Select /IGNOREPNP and press the [Alt+E] keys to edit
      parameters.  
            
   5. Change the Default value to 1. Press the [Enter] key
      twice. 
            
   6. Press the [Alt+S] keys to save the configuration.
            
   7. Restart the computer.
