TITLE: Direct X and Ascentia A
ISSUE
When running Direct X on the Ascentia A system, the user may find
that the system will cause an error in DSOUND.DLL, after
initializing the sound during the application start up.
This issue affects the following Ascentia A systems: 503149,
503150, and 503151.
BACKGROUND
Direct X is a set of APIs that allows developers of interactive
content to access specialized hardware features without having to
write hardware-specific code.
Crystal has released new driver version 1.80 which will work with
Direct X and overcome the problem.
ACTION
Download and install driver version 1.80 or later for the Crystal
CS4232/6 Audio chip used in this system.

The installation instructions are contained in a Readme file
included with this driver.
