TITLE:  Parallel Port Mode Adventure! 2xx/4xx
 
 
ISSUE 
 
   The AST Adventure! 200/400 series has no parallel port mode 
   selection in the BIOS. This issue affects the following 
   Advantage! Adventure 2xx and 4xx systems: 503280, 503279, 503294, 
   503298, 503292, and 503300.    

 
BACKGROUND 
 
   Previous releases of this BIOS auto-detected the parallel port 
   settings required; however, with release version 2.6 and later, 
   the customer is able to select the parallel port mode.    

 
ACTION 
 
   AST now includes a user-definable parallel port mode selection in 
   BIOS 2.6, (AST part number 905603-033) or later. 
   
   Users can obtain this new BIOS, file name 05603033.EXE from the 
   following sources:

      To decompress this file, create a temporary directory 
      on your hard drive, copy the downloaded file to that 
      directory, and run the file.
